Biography

Dr. Rottier has been a professor at Université Laval since 2019. His work focuses on the physical and chemical processes leading to the formation of mineral deposits, including those of critical and strategic minerals. He is also working on the development of new exploration methods using the chemical composition of indicator minerals. In 2024, he received the Waldemar Lindgren Award from the Society of Economic Geology (SEG) and in 2019 the "Best Paper Award" from the Society for Geology Applied to Mineral Deposits (SGA).
